|According to the World Meeting of Families 2015 (see their Facebook page located at https://www.facebook.com/WorldMeeting2015 and the World Meeting of Families 2015 web page located at http://www.worldmeeting2015.org/), after Sunday’s Evening Mass (July 20, 2014) at the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul in Philadelphia, Archbishop Charles J. Chaput announced that Saint John Paul II and Saint Gianna Beretta Molla have been selected as the Patron Saints of the World Meeting of Families to be held in Philadelphia 2015.From Tuesday, September 22, through Sunday, September 27, 2015, Philadelphia will welcome the Eighth (8th) World Meeting of Families for 2015, which is expected to draw a global audience. In June 2012, the Seventh (7th) World Meeting, held in Milan, Italy, drew hundreds of thousands to the city with more than one million attending the Holy Father’s Mass. Since the meeting’s inception by Saint John Paul II in 1994, the World Meeting of Families has sought to strengthen the sacred bonds of family across the globe.
